SQLyog FAQ News
Upgraded to phpMyFAQ 2.5.5
Users coming here frequently will notice a quite new look here. This is because we have upgraded to phpMyFAQ 2.5.5 from a 2.0 version. We had some problems with the adminstrative back-end in 2.0 that are now solved - partly due to the upgrade itself and partly due to help from phpMyFAQ team. Thanks a lot.
Except for the looks you may not find much difference between 2.0 and 2.5 at first look. But there are very nice differences if you go into details. First of all 2.5 uses de-facto web standard components (like jquery) and quite a lot of AJAX that makes the system more consistent and faster to work with.
Thanks to phpMyFAQ team - again!

One more security update
Latest upgrade of phpMyFAQ to 2.0.17 contains one more fix for a scripting vulnerability. We stayed with the 2.0 tree for the time being even though 2.5 is now released as a stable version. 2.5 is probably better in a tech sense (with more AJAX, jquery etc.) but it does not matter very much for how we use the FAQ system. We may upgrade to 2.5 later but we have not checked it in detail yet. Also we will maybe wait for 2.6 before abandoning 2.0.

They come fast these days!
Only a few days after upgrade to phpMyFAQ 2.0.14 one more security related update came. We have upgraded to phpMyFAQ 2.0.15 with a fix for a cross-site scripting vulnerability.
